John has been renovating a 26-unit apartment building for me. This is a complete renovation - new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, etc. His work is incredible and is done to a high standard. He has done a great job bringing the building back to its former glory and as a result, he has improved the community overall. John & his crew are consummate professionals. We recently did a home redo including drywall repair, painting interior with a Cathedral ceiling, new flooring, Sliding doors install, kitchen & fireplace remodel. John was extremely responsive from the first call to the initial assessment to the completion of the project. My wife Bev had an awesome vision for the new bathroom and John and his team turned her vision into a reality. The end result exceeded our expectations. John is a perfectionist and takes tremendous pride in his work. He was in constant communication with us the entire time. He and his team were just awesome guys who we enjoyed having around. This contractor offers a large array of services. Normally, you have to hire someone to update your bathroom plus another person to lay flooring and tile and a third person to do a closet organization system. They provide all these services. I needed a handrail for some steps in order to pass an FHA inspection, so I hired a builder. He had to cancel due to injury, and at the 11th hour, Down Home Contracting stepped in to save the day, and prevent the closing being delayed. Quality work comes at a price, and that's fine with me. I contacted John about my chimney needing some work. I was on a slight time crunch as our roof was being replaced in a matter of a few weeks. John came to our place to assess the job and gave me a quote. After we agreed John showed up the day he said he would be there. He made the whole experience hassle free for me, he retrieved all the materials needed and kept in close communication during the project. He drove to many different stores to get the best price on the materials needed and through his determination he even secured a cap for the chimney free of charge! The chimney looks brand new and my wife and I are very pleased with the results. The price was fair and in line with the quality of work that was done. Would recommend John to anyone.

He painted my bedroom and did a wonderful job. It’s a large bedroom, and it took a few hours one day. Very pleased with his work.

John has a wealth of knowledge for home projects. He put together some woodwork that goes nicely in our laundry room, and he did a shoe storage rack for us as well. Attention to detail is important to me, and it is for John too. He puts out a quality product!

John did a fabulous job with an upgrade in my parent’s kitchen by adding subway tile to the wall over the kitchen sink and counter. His attention to detail is superb!
